Certificate course enrolment

You can enrol in one or more Certificate courses at any given time. To do this, go to the online enrolment form.

Each certificate course requires you to successfully complete 6 training programs. These programs are split between compulsory and elective programs. All compulsory programs must be successfully completed with the balance of the programs made up from the elective selection. For details please go to the Structure page.

Transfer between Certificates courses

At any point of your study you may transfer from one Certificate course to the other. The eligible programs you have previously completed will be transferred into the new Certificate course, subject to the new Certificate course requirements.

To transfer between certificate courses please contact Carole McElligott, Training & Development at the CSA office on 1800 251 849 or by email.

Graduation

Graduation from the certificate courses will occur on the successful completion of the compulsory and elective training programs for the Certificate course you are enrolled in. You will receive an email confirming your graduation. A certificate and academic transcript will be mailed to you.

Program exemptions

When you graduate, two of your completed training programs will be available for you to select as exemptions if you enrol in another Certificate course.

When you enrol in another certificate course, you will need to go to your Academic Record page to select program exemptions. There is a maximum of two training programs you can select to use as exemptions.

We strongly recommend you look at the compulsory training program requirements when you enrol in a new Certificate course to ensure you select two programs that are most relevant to your new enrolment. For example, if the Certificate course you are enrolling in requires you to complete 5 compulsory and 1 elective training programs, then at least one of your exemptions should be a compulsory program.

Training programs

Training Programs can be completed by study online or by face-to-face attendance. For one of these programs to count towards a certificate course it must be one of the core or optional programs for that certificate course and you must pass the online exam.

Your training program has a life span of 12 months. After that time it is no longer current and will drop off your list of completed programs for the purpose of graduation from the certificate course you are enrolled in or for exemptions if you enrol in another certificate course.
