Director, Group Governance — Brisbane
One of Australia’s largest not-for-profit health and community service providers is currently recruiting a Director, Group Governance. In this vital role you will be responsible for managing the business of the board and its committees and ensuring their effectiveness through high standards of compliance and continual improvement of the organisation’s governance practices. This is a unique opportunity to add value to the board through the provision of best practice governance and compliance advice. Legal Executive — Melbourne
Specsavers is currently seeking a Legal Executive to join its busy legal team in Port Melbourne. The position will have a strong focus on company secretarial matters as well as managing migration and franchising work for the in-house legal team. The successful applicant will be assisting the Legal Director on all company secretarial work and will be experienced in preparing and lodging documentation for company name changes, director and shareholder changes, registration and de-registrations, advising on board processes, procedures and preparing related documents, lodgement of financial reports, maintaining and updating corporate registers. Ideally, you will be tertiary qualified with a strong career history in corporate governance and compliance, with strong attention to detail. Corporate Secretarial — Senior Consultant — Sydney
As a result of continued growth, PwC is seeking a senior consultant to join their Corporate Secretarial practice and play a key role in implementing their growth strategy. In this challenging position you will be responsible for overseeing the compliance obligations of local and global clients and undertaking the registration of new companies and foreign branches. You will have at least two years experience in a similar role in professional services, consulting or a law firm with relevant legal or business and Chartered Secretaries qualifications. Assistant Company Secretary — Melbourne (south east)
South East Water is currently recruiting for an Assistant Company Secretary to provide a high level contribution to the effective management of the company’s Board and Committee processes. In this vital role you will provide guidance and support on all matters relating to Board and Committee meetings and activities while working closely with the General Counsel and Governance. The successful candidate will need experience in legal or a government authority, thorough working knowledge of governance requirements, both statutory and common law, and good experience working with boards and committees. Manager Office of CEO and Board Executive Officer — Melbourne
This Melbourne CBD-based statutory authority, specialising in the delivery of services to a culturally and linguistically diverse client base, is seeking a Manager, Office of the CEO and Board Executive Officer. Reporting to the CEO (who is responsible for the day-to-day administration and management of the organisation) you will be the key contact and coordination point for the Office of the CEO. You will manage information flows and coordinate information-sharing between Ministerial staff, Board members, senior management and the broader governance stakeholders of the organisation and deliver support services to the Board and its Standing Committees and advise the Board and Executive on legislative and governance matters. Appropriate qualifications and experience working with a board of management in an administrative capacity, along with extensive knowledge of governance, regulatory and compliance issues in the public sector, will be required.
